Wilberforce Akello

Managing Partner
Wilberforce specialises in civil and commercial litigation. He has been heavily involved in insurance law, contract law, environmental,landlord and tenants' disputes, employment and pension matters, defamation,constitutionalmatters, debt recovery and arbitration on commercial disputes. He has advised and represented clients in procurement disputes, contentious and non-contentious probate and administration matters, judicialreview, trademark and copyright disputes. Wilberforce has handled matters in the tribunals, subordinate court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Moreover, he has handled various real estate, commercial matters and criminal suits. Wilberforce is a graduate of the University of Nairobi, holds Masters Degree and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East African Law Society.

Jacline Warui

Jackline Warui is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public, as well as a Certified Public Secretary (CPS) with broad experience in conveyancing especially in projects and perfection of securities and rendering legal opinions especially on the Land Act and the Land Registration Act. She is also an expert in family law matters; children and Marriage and succession law as well as immigration lawyering. Further, she handlesall areas of company secretarial practice, legal and governance audits in corporate compliance. Jackline has also handled legislative drafting briefs such as drafting and review of county bills and policies to promote good governance.

George Gilbert

George is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and the head of litigation and dispute resolution and intellectual property department of the firm. A recognized dispute resolution expert. George has experience representing clients in a wide range of areas such as public procurement, intellectual property, human rights, employment, land and environmental matters, shareholder disputes, among others. A Kenyan advocate, he has assisted several well-noted clients in some of Kenya's well publicized contentious matters.

Isaah Bonbegi

Mr. Gesicho is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and heads the commercial and conveyancing department and also practices civil litigation. He has advised a multinational Company on Corporate restructuring in their plan to re-enter the Kenyan Market. He has assisted leading foreign investors in establishing their presence in Kenya and advising foreign investors on joint venture business structure between local companies and foreign companies. He has practical experience in dealing with a variety of commercialmatters including incorporation and Registration of Companies, Societies, Trusts and Business Names, preparation of security documents, preparation and registration of Leases, Charges, Mortgages, and Re-conveyance etc. Successfully represented several individuals relating to work injuries and road traffic accidents.

Joan Mochama

Joan Mochama is attached to the firm’s Commercial/Conveyance Department. She has undertaken intensive in-house training and mentorship in areas related to Conveyancing Law and Practice, Commercial Law,Intellectual Property Law, Banking and Securities Regulation Law, Insurance Law, Environmental & Natural Resources Law as well as Legal and Governance Audit. Joan holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is also a Certified Professional Mediator by the Mediation Training Institute of East Africa.
